These Are The Swing States Where The 2020 Election Will Be Won Or Lost

As November 3 is approaching, experts and political scientists are predicting which candidate will win the presidency by looking at Trump vs. Biden polls and national trends. Democratic presidential Nominee Joe Biden is leading Trump in seven states, which Trump won in 2016.  These are:

  • Arizona
  • Ohio
  • North Carolina
  • Michigan
  • Wisconsin
  • Florida
  • Pennsylvania

Unlike most countries that decide upon the popular vote, the US uses the Electoral College, where each Presidential elector represents a state. And every four years, they come together to give their official votes for the presidency. There are a total of 538 Electoral College votes. And to win the presidency, the candidate requires 270 Electoral College votes. No state can have less than three electoral votes. So the states with more electoral votes can decide the future of the presidential elections. There is a hand-full of swing states that will decide the future of America. So Americans need to focus on them to have a clean democratic country. In this article, we’re going to discuss them in detail.

From the current situation, you can easily tell that Americans want a democratic and progressive country. The majority is in favor of bi-partisan laws. And they want to save American lives. So people want to remove Donald Trump from office and to flip the Republican Senate. According to the National Field Director of Swing Left_, a national grassroots organization found after the 2016 election, 12 swing states can decide the election cycle. These are:

  • Arizona
  • Colorado
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Lowe
  • Maine
  • Michigan
  • North Carolina
  • Ohio
  • Pennsylvania
  • Texas
  • Wisconsin

According to an estimate, out of the 50 states, democrats will win 15 to 20 states. And the same is the case for Republicans. But these 12 swing states have a mixed population. So you cannot decide about them. These are the most vital states in the upcoming elections. And according to Marisa Kanof (Swing Left National Field Director)

“These states in the middle…………. you win enough of them, and you win the presidency.”

So you should be aware of the swing states that will decide the future of your country.

Arizona has 11 electoral votes. And there are 5.3% chances of this state to decide the election.
